    Squidoo : Lenses by dannystaple

  • Lenses Danny Blessed in 2012

    15 May 2012 | 10:12 am
I am a squid angel, and I like to read many lenses and bless them. I've been inspired by another squid angel to start collecting those that I've blessed somewhere for later - so I can find them again later. This is a public bookmark list of the very best things I've found. As this collection grows, I will organise them neatly - but for now, I'll just get the lenses I love here. If you love them too - give them a thumbs up. Meanwhile - if you think you have a great (really good - not spammy, original content) lens, let me know.
  • My Learnings

    23 Apr 2012 | 6:22 pm
I learn new stuff, daily if I can. In fact, I go out of my way to learn. Learning is good fun, a great way to occupy my mind. Learning also sets me up with new skills to face the world with more tools in my arsenal, more ways to make the most of it and enjoy it. A lot of learning may simply be paving the way for new learning. Most of my learning is learning things others have already learned, but every now and again I stumble upon ways to do things that I've not seen someone else use before, a way of applying computer science to a task in daily life perhaps or other similar places where…
  • Making The Most Of West London

    23 Apr 2012 | 6:19 pm
West London covers a sprawling area, from the West End and Westminster, right the way out to Uxbridge in Middlesex, and parts of Surrey. For travellers to London, they often find the pace of much of London to be a little on the fast side, but as you go out to the West, you will find it slows down a little, becomes more green, and you will find many pleasant local communities. West London includes many areas with points of interest, and here I will try to cover many of the great ones worth visiting.
  • Buying Second User flat screen monitors

    23 Apr 2012 | 6:16 pm
I have bought a number of monitors, and of all the components needed in your computer, this can be one of the more expensive, and less often replaced ones. It is therefore worth making sure you get it right, avoiding some of the common pitfalls, and knowing what you are getting. This advice applies also to Flat Screen TV's, which while there are some differences, you should take the same care. TFT LCD Monitors on ebay, gum tree, in the newspapers and on other websites may appear to be real bargains. Buying LCD monitors is a potential minefield. Even for those who know what they are on about.
  • Making a Monkey King Costume For Halloween

    23 Apr 2012 | 5:12 pm
The Monkey King is an amusing and pleasant character, albeit needing to learn some wisdom and a few manners. It is easy to make a costume for adults or children to look like him, and watching the videos below will give you some of his quirks to practice too. He's not scary, but great fun, and for those who've seen the TV series, and other renditions, it may just make their day. If you were a kid in the 80's, you may remember "Monkey Magic!", an amusing series based on a Chinese fairy tale, filmed in Japan and dubbed in the states. Recently, it has undergone a bit of a revival.
